Privacy Policy for Stovetop App
Effective Date: April 8, 2026
Stovetop is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your information.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Local Data Storage:
- Stovetop stores your recipes, shopping lists, and ingredient information directly on your device.
- No personal information or user data is transmitted to external servers or third parties by default.
- If you use features such as reminders, the app may request access to your device's Reminders to add or manage shopping lists. Stovetop does not access or transmit your Reminders content beyond your device.
Camera Access:
- If you use ingredient recognition features, the app may request camera access. Photos taken for ingredient recognition are processed on-device and are not shared or uploaded.
Third-Party AI Services (if enabled):
- If you connect Stovetop to an external AI service (such as OpenAI or a local AI model), recipe data you share for AI-powered features may be sent to the chosen provider. This is always initiated by user action and explained where applicable.
2. Data Sharing
- Stovetop does not sell, share, or transmit your personal data to third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.
- Your data remains private and stored locally unless you explicitly use sharing or cloud features (not present by default).
3. User Controls
- You may delete your recipes, ingredients, or shopping lists at any time within the app.
- You can revoke camera or reminders permissions at any time using your device settings.
4. Contact
If you have questions or concerns about your privacy, please contact the app developer at support@stovetoprecipes.com.
